Quality Assurance and Control
Quality Assurance
Internal Quality Management system based on highest industry standards with in-house testing to meet and exceed customer expectations and needs. This Quality Management System (QMS) covers all processes in handling of products supplied to Oakwood customers, from sourcing to shipping of the final product. Our QMS outlines Oakwood’s commitment to product quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. We participate in the Ecovadis survey of our environmental, social, and ethical performance for the improvement of transparent and sustainable business practices.
Quality Control
Oakwood Chemical’s Quality Control Laboratory allows for in-house testing of the chemicals we offer to customers. The employees in the department have a combined total of over fifty years’ experience in the chemical industry and in analytical chemistry. The laboratory has multiple gas chromatographs, gas chromatograph/mass spectrometers, high-pressure liquid chromatographs, liquid chromatograph/mass spectrometer, UV/VIS spectrophotometer, ICP-OE spectrometer, FT-IR, melting point apparatus, Karl Fischer titrators, polarimeters, refractometers, and other key instruments for qualifying material sold from our catalog. We utilize the University of South Carolina’s NMR laboratory to run any NMR samples, with in-house scientists analyzing the raw data. Our analytical chemists follow our QMS to offer high quality products with concrete analysis data to ensure they meet published and/or contracted specifications. We issue Certificates of Analysis with every product.
