Abbeviation as PyBrOP. A more reactive coupling reagent. Especially useful in difficult coupling, such as coupling N-methylamino acids or α,α-dialkylglycines, where other coupling reagents are inefficient.1 Efficiently used in both liquid and solid phase peptide synthesis, but it can lead to epimerization when used for segment condensation.2,3 Also used for activation of conjugated carboxylic acids4 and in the synthesis of formamidines from aliphatic and aromatic primary amines and N,N-dimethylformamide5,6.
